The Butterfield amplifier is designed to give great tone at a reasonable volume for practice, recording, and live performance.

  • 17 watts of output power

  • Completely hand-crafted with love:

    • Point-to-point hand wiring

    • B.C. Western Red Cedar faceplate with a hand-rubbed finish and laser-engraved.  We use marine varnish because it’s highly resistant to the effects of temperature change, exposure to sun, and spilled beer

    • Hand-crafted finger-jointed Baltic Birch cabinetry

  • Very low levels of “hiss” and “hum” noise.

  • Pre-amp Gain control with “Boost” function.  Dial in exactly how you want your amp to respond to your touch

  • Overdrive channel with foot switch

  • Treble, Bass, and Mid tone controls

  • 1×12″ or 2×10″ Jensen Vintage Speakers with AlNiCo magnets, manufactured in Italy.  These were the industry standard in the 1950’s and early 1960’s

  • Hammond transformers, still proudly manufactured in Canada

  • Three 12AX7 pre-amp tubes

  • Two EL84 or 6V6GT power tubes in an efficient AB1 push-pull configuration

  • 5Y3GT tube rectifier.  We add protection so the rectifier won’t flame out

  • Durable vinyl covering

  • Comfortable padded handle

  • Weight approx. 25 pounds
